Hailing from Austria, Lisa has an amazingly mature timbre to her voice for someone who is only twenty four.
There is a beauty in the simplicity of the arrangement and lyrics of everything. You can truly hear the emotion in her voice. She doesn’t over complicate the musical arrangement of the song allowing her voice and the message to really push to the front. The melody is also consistent and simple which makes it so memorable. It’s perfect for the acoustic pop genre in which she resides in so comfortably.
Despite the pop logo attached to her music she has this real individuality in her voice and compositions which really allows her to stand out so well. It almost reminds me of a more pop focussed Maggie Roger’s. There’s a lot a lot of potential there to add more texture to her music but I would be so afraid of it taking away the focus of her performance, which after listening to her other songs, is clearly consistent of a higher quality.
It’s also worth mentioning that being from Austria I can only assume English is her second language so to accomplish this before that fact is impressive enough yet alone adding the bilingual ability to her bow.
There is a hidden subtle charm behind her arrangements and her voice that I can’t quite put my finger on but it instantly makes me want more. Definitely worth having a listen to her and taking a chance to watch her continue to grow musically for the next few years.
